BILT Q2 net down by 31.5%

Paper manufacturer Ballarpur Industries (BILT) today reported a net profit of Rs 50.1 crore in the quarter ended on December 31, 2008, a decline of 31.5 per cent as compared to the same period an year ago.

The company has reported a net profit of Rs 73.11 crore in the quarter ended on December 31, 2007, BILT said in a statement.

In terms of total sales, BILT has reported a decline of 6.5 per cent in the last quarter of 2008 at Rs 649.12 crore as compared Rs 694.35 crore in the corresponding previous year.
