Bank of India has elevated R A Sankara Narayanan as the executive director of the bank. Narayanan had joined the bank as direct recruit officer in 1983.
He is a post graduate, MBA and a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB). He also has a diploma in treasury and risk management and post graduate diplomas in personnel management and financial management.
Narayanan was elevated as a general manager of the bank in September 2011 and was overseeing the international operations of the bank covering 59 offices in 22 countries and contributing 29% of the bank’s business.
Over a fast-growth career spanning 32 years in the bank, he has held multi-farious roles such as head, treasury operations, zonal manager, general manager, national banking group and at corporate office etc., besides 2 foreign stints at Tokyo and Singapore.
