Bosch India has announced the appointment of Steffen Berns as MD and additional director from January 1, 2013, replacing V K Vishwanathan, who will be stepping down upon completion of his term.
Vishawanathan will continue to be associated with Bosch India as its non-executive director and vice-chairman of the Board.
Berns is currently part of the Board of Managment for gasoline systems based in Stuttgart. He is coming back to the Indian operations of Bosch after spending around four years during 1996-2000, when he was responsible for OE sales and R&D for Bosch India.
Berns also was the first president of Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions.
Bosch India has also announced that Soumitra Bhattacharya, who is currently the CFO of Bosch India, would take over as joint managing director replacing Manfred Duernholz, who is assuming senior responsibility in Robert Bosch GmbH.
The company also announced the appointment of Titan Industries MD Bhaskar Bhat as an independent director.
