BPCL Q3 net soars 174% at Rs 799 cr

State-run Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) has posted a 174.56 per cent rise in its net profit at Rs 799.8 crore for the third quarter ended December 2008, on higher sale of petroleum products.

The company's net profit for the same quarter last year stood at Rs 291.3 crore.

During the quarter, total income of the company increased to Rs 32,184.6 crore, up 10 per cent from Rs 29,258.4 crore.
