BVQI to expand network in India

UK-based professional services provider, Bureau Veritas  (BVQI) will expand its network in India and open 10 additional centres in the country by 2007.

With certification system of products and industries growing at 15% annually, the company sees good potential in India, Ryszard Kazsuba, regional chief executive of BVQI (India), said.

With 31 branches, BVQI has nearly 10,000 clients for both product inspection and certification, Kaszuba said adding the company's current revenue growth stood at 35%, while its business in India was growing at 15%.

BVQI has the highest number of clients at 1,300 in Tamil Nadu and offices would soon come up in Tuticorin, Pondicherry and Madurai to serve them better, he said.

The expansion is not aimed merely to increase the business but also to provide localised services to customers in order to gain their confidence and enhance the company's brand credibility, he added.
