It’s not common for Indian CEOs to make public statements on rivals. As M&M briefly overtook Tata Motors as the No. 3 passenger-vehicle maker in the country in April-June 2012, Tata Motors Chairman Ratan Tata complimented M&M on its feat while exhorting his colleagues to regain lost ground.
