Cookie Man plans 100 outlets

| Australian Foods (I) Pvt. Ltd, an Indo-Australian joint venture, and manufacturers of Cookie Man, the leading brand of fresh baked premium cookies in the country, is set to roll out 100-125 outlets across the country in the next three years time. |
| "We are looking to hit 100-125 stores and going by where we are now we would sell 200-2500 ton in three years, which implies a business of Rs 100-125 crore, and investment of Rs 15-20 crore," said S S Pattabhi Rama Rao, president of Australian Foods Pvt Ltd. |
| Currently the company has 26 outlets in 17 cities. |
| By December 2008, it aims to cover 22 cities through 51 outlets. |
| By the end of this fiscal the company is expecting turnover of around Rs 22 crore which it would double in the subsequent year. |
| To support expansion plans, the company is also set to increase its dough and baking making capacity which is around 4,000 ton at the moment, enough to cater the needs of 70 outlets. |
| "We intend to set up a facility with an annual capacity ranging between 2,000t to 3,000t," said Rao who was in the city to inaugurate its maiden outlet. |
| Meanwhile, Cookie Man is looking to set up another couple of outlets at Kolkata by the end of this year. |
| The city outlet would feature around 50 varieties of cookies prices between Rs 410-800 per kg. |
| "The 26th shop in Kolkata is our debut in the Eastern India and we look forward to serve the customers with a selection of premium international products," he added. |
