CRI Pumps opens new facility at SEZ in Tamil Nadu

The unit, set up with a first phase investment of Rs 30 cr, is spread over 20 acre

Coimbatore-based pump manufacturer CRI Pumps has announced opening of its manufacturing unit in the special economic zone at Perundurai in the state.

The unit, set up with a first phase investment of Rs 30 crore, is spread over 20 acre. In the Phase-II, it plans to invest Rs 30-40 crore for expansion. The facility will manufacture stainless steel submersible pumps, motors, vertical multistage pumps among others.

G Soundararajan, vice chairman, said the unit with a capacity to produce over 100,000 pumpsets a year would cater to the export markets. It would supply to various countries and CRIs foreign subsidiaries. The company was targeting a turnover of of Rs 200 crore in the first year.
