In a statement, he said that Tuscano is an apt fit for CURA Healthcare, and that it is one of the few Indian R&D labs with DSIR certification. Besides, it is also ISO 13485 certified.
Tuscano also brings a team of R&D engineers with experience in hardware and software and medical devices.
"Tuscano, with its vast experience, will be able to add substantial value in CURA's journey towards becoming a global player in the medical equipment and instrument segments," Balasubramaniam said.
CURA today offers a slew of patented medical equipment to address the domestic market. The company will soon be one of the few Indian firms with capabilities to manufacture Imaging equipments like Digital Radiography Systems.
Besides this, CURA plans to manufacture top of the line Mobile Computer Radiography Systems which offer high quality X-ray at the bed side of patients.

This equipment is expected to aid in penetrating Tier-2 & 3 markets affected by infrastructural challenges such as irregular power supply.
