Dalmia Cement January sales up 21%

Dalmia Cement today recorded 20.9 per cent increase in sales for the month of January at 3.05 lakh tonnes as against 2.52 lakh tonnes in the same month last year.

The company produced 3.17 lakh tonnes cement in January, up by 21.6 per cent from the same month in 2009, it said in a release here.

During the April-January period of the current fiscal, Dalmia Cement sold 33.07 lakh tonnes and produced 33.11 lakh tonnes of the commodity.

The company has 9 million tonnes per annum installed capacity and has 45.4 per cent stake in OCL India, where it controls 14.3 million tonnes of cement capacity.
