DJ Pandian resigns as chairman of Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Limited

Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Ltd (GACL) on Monday said that the company's chairman DJ Pandian has resigned.

In a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the company informed that Pandian, an IAS officer 'ceases to be a director and chairman vide resignation'. GACL, promoted by the Gujarat government, is largest producer of caustic soda in the country. Pandian had retired as Chief Secretary of Gujarat government on May 31. Promoters have 46.28 per cent stake in the company.
