eBay offers free subscription in Punjab for 3 mnth

"We are offering a three month free dedicated eCommerce store to all new entrepreneurs from Punjab who sign up in June," e-Bay India, Head Global Trade, Amarjit Batra told reporters here today.
Disclosing a new trend emerging in online trading, Batra said that Punjab had always been strong in the export of products like sporting goods (chess boards, cricket bats, balls, gloves and saddles) and apparel (salwar kameez, lehengas and kurtis), and we found a similar trend in exports on eBay. "Every 20 minutes, an item is now sold internationally from Punjab," he informed while adding, "Punjab based sellers have sold over 7,500 sporting goods and over 8,000 pieces of apparel to global buyers so far."
Punjab has a large base of global trade sellers led by sellers from Amritsar and Ludhiana, he said.
