EgoSecure GmbH, a Germany-based endpoint security solutions company, on Tuesday announced its India operations from Hyderabad by launching its product EgoSecure Endpoint here.

Announcing the product and Hyderabad-based Zoom Technologies as its exclusive all-India distributor, Sergej Schlotthauer, chief executive officer of EgoSecure, told reporters that the company would invest around $1 million in setting up a facility manned by 30 professional in Hyderabad in the next one year.

This would support its marketing efforts in India besides contributing to its global R&D.

EgoSecure, with global revenues of Euro 10 million and over 1,300 corporate customers, ministries and municipalities in Europe, started its expansion outside Europe since 2012.

Stating that the company had a huge market share in Europe, counting as its clients thousands of organisations in the public sector, banks, criminal investigation agencies etc, Schlotthauer said their plans were to replicate the success in India on the same scale.

"We are enthusiastic for India as we feel that it is a good platform for expansion in the Asia-Pacific region. The Indian security market is estimated to be around $250 million with an annual growth rate of 16-17%. Our target is to corner 10-15% of this in the next couple of years," he said.
