A strong topline helped Kolkata-based FMCG major Emami registered a net profit of Rs 138.19 crore, a rise of 24.3 percent year-on-year for the quarter ended March. It was Rs 111.13 crore in the year ago period.
For FY 2014-15 the company's net profit stood at Rs 485.45 crore as compared to Rs 402.43 crore last year. The company attributed the success to the performance of their power brands.
Emami's advertising and promotion expenditure grew 41.28 per cent during the year to Rs 391.94 crore.
