Dubai-based Emirates Airlines has said it has no plans to acquire stake in any airline in India or any other part of the world.
The airline issued a statement following reports regarding its interest in SpiceJet.
The report had said the airline was in advanced talks with SpiceJet as it wants to grow its market in India.
"In response to recent inaccurate stories in the media, Emirates can confirm it has no plans to acquire a stake in any airline in India or elsewhere.
Emirates is focused on its own growth and is investing substantially in its own fleet and network expansion plans,'' Emirates said in a statement.
