Fare War Hots Up, Jet Announces New Cuts

The fare war among domestic airlines continues with Jet Airways announcing a Rs 260 cut on the New Delhi-Mumbai-New Delhi sector in its economy class with effect from July 8.

The airlines has also announced a Rs 1,340 cut on the Mumbai-Indore-Mumbai sector.

Additionally, it has announced special economy class point-to-point fares from Visakhapatnam to New Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore and Mumbai, all via Hyderabad.

In the case of Mumbai-New Delhi return fare, Jet was cheaper than IA. But in the case of a Mumbai-New Delhi single (one-way) ticket, IA was cheaper. Now, Jet has actually reduced the rate of Mumbai-New Delhi single ticket.
