Fenesta to up Hyd capacity

Buoyed by the response to its UPVC (unplasticised PVC) windows and doors business in Hyderabad, Fenesta Building Systems (FBS) is planning to double the installed capacity at its Hyderabad unit to one lakh windows per year.
FBS is a division of the Rs 3,000-crore Delhi-based DCM Shriram Consolidated Limited (DSCL).
Post the Hyderabad expansion, the company's overall windows manufacturing capacity from its five fabrication units in India " Bhiwadi (Rajasthan), Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad " will cross the four-lakh mark.
"The present expansion move is backed by the expected growth of at least 100 per cent in the Hyderabad real estate market in the coming years," DSCL chairman Ajay S Shriram stated in a press release on Tuesday.
FBS caters to major builders like Aparna Builders, Ashoka Developers, IVRCL, Skil Group and Nivee Properties through its Hyderabad unit.
The company is also adding a new range of technologically-advanced UPVC doors and windows to suit Hyderabad's climate. The products will be displayed at an exhibition, scheduled to be held here from June 22-24.
