European kidswear chain Gron Stockholm along with its Agra based Indian partner Taj Needle Craft said it plans to go online in the next couple of months and also aims to make headway in its number of retail stores from three to thirteen by early next year.

Deepak Agarwal, CEO, Gron Stockholm, said, "Online shopping will be available for our Indian customers within the next two months. India is hardly an organised sector for kids apparels and currently a negligible amount of it is eaten up by organic clothing brands. We plan to make good headway in the coming year. We will come up with  around 5 to 10 more retail stores by 2014."

Gron Stockholm houses products of all organic clothing brands like Geggamoja from Stockholm, Mijn from Netherlands, Bamboo Baby from United kingdom and Jumina Of Norway. So far, the company has opened 3 stores in Delhi/NCR and also got into tie ups with web entities like Firstcry and Fashionandyou. The designs and presentation of Gron Stockholm are a combination of inputs by its India team and designers from Scandinavia. With a medium to high segmented pricing strategy, at the moment the company plans to tap niche markets of Delhi and other metro cities.

"So far the investments have been around Rs 1.5 crore and we are thinking of investing another Rs 3 crore in the coming year. This investment will be done by Taj Needle Craft and utilised in opening new stores in metro cities," added Agarwal.
