Leading home loan provider Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC) today announced a consolidated net profit of Rs 2,713 crore for the financial year ended March 31, a 55.74 per cent growth over the year-ago period.

		</script> </DIV><p class='TableClas'>The firm had a net profit of Rs 1,741.98 crore in the financial year ended 2006-07, HDFC said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </P>
</p><p class='TableClas'>For FY'08, the total income rose to Rs 8,819.42 crore from Rs 6,393.19 crore in the year-ago period.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </P>
</p><p class='TableClas'>Shares of HDFC were trading at Rs 2,072, down 6.10 per cent in the afternoon trade on the BSE. </P></p></table>
