Himatsingka registers Rs 41.09 crore loss in Q4

The company in a statement attributed loss primarily to the loss incurred by its new Bed Linen manufacturing plant at the Hassan SEZ in Karnataka.

"As the new facility has just been commissioned and is being ramped up, capacity utilisation for the quarter stood at 53 per cent," the company said in a statement to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

 

On the yearly basis, the company posted a consolidated net loss of 23.99 crore in the financial year ending March, 31,2008,  against the consolidated net profit of Rs 61.43 crore during the previous year.

It posted a rise of 264.84 per cent in its consolidated revenue at Rs 892.32 crore for the year ending March 31, 2008 compared to Rs 244.58 crore in the previous financial year.

The company's share price traded at Rs 45, down 3.74 per cent at IST 1109.
