Hindustan Zinc Q4 net dips 53% to Rs 551.47 cr

Hindustan Zinc today reported a 53.35 per cent dip in net profit at Rs 551.47 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2009. The company had a net profit of Rs 1,182.20 crore in the March quarter of FY08, Hindustan Zinc said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

The total income declined 39.39 per cent to Rs 1,483.15 crore in the March quarter, from Rs 2,446.97 crore in the fourth quarter of FY08. The board has declared a dividend of 40 per cent at the rate of Rs 4, on shares of face value of Rs 10 for FY09.
