Hiring up by 10% in May 2013: Naukri.com
Most cities saw a ride in hiring except Pune, Mumbai and Chennai

The hiring rose 10.3% in May 2013 year on year (y-o-y) said Naukri.com. Among the metros, most of the cities have seen ride in hiring except Pune, Mumbai and Chennai. Delhi-NCR was hiring grew by 26% while hiring in Mumbai declined by 10% in May.
Among the top 10 sectors, sectors like pharma grew by 25%; IT grew by 8% and ITES (information technology enable services) grew by 56%. Auto, insurance, oil & gas have seen a dip over the same period, Naukri.com said.
“Overall it is a positive sign; however, employers seem to be following a cautious approach now and are keeping a close watch on the macroeconomic environment,” said Ambarish Raghuvanshi, CFO Info Edge (India) Ltd. “Given the weak economic environment in 2012-13 , any job creation is a positive sign” he added.
