HSIL Q4 net marginally up at Rs 33 cr

Announces a dividend of 150%

Sanitary ware and bathroom equipment maker HSIL Ltd today said its net profit rose by 1.29% to Rs 32.73 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2012.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 32.31 crore for the same period of previous fiscal, HSIL said in a filing to the BSE.

Net sales of the company rose to Rs 388.72 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2012, against Rs 327.11 crore in the corresponding period of previous fiscal.

For the year ended March 31, 2012, the company posted a net profit of Rs 110.10 crore, compared to Rs 87.35 crore in 2010-11.

Commenting on the results, HSIL Joint Managing Director Sandip Somany said: "Both the business divisions demonstrated robust growth trajectory during the quarter and for the full year".

The company operates its business under two divisions -- Building Products and Container Glass.

The company's net sales for the year ended March 31, 2012, rose to Rs 1,322.85 crore, against Rs 1,032.38 crore during the previous fiscal.

The company's board, which met today, recommended a dividend of 150% for the year ended 2011-12.

Shares of HSIL today closed at Rs 166.80 on the BSE, up 2.33% from its previous close.
