Jaypee Himachal Cement plant commissioned

Jaypee Himachal Cement Grinding & Blending Plant, a unit of Jaiprakash Associates Limited, was commissioned today. The state level single window clearance and monitoring authority had cleared the project in September, 2004 and with other requisite clearances/approvals, the construction of the plant was started in the year 2005.

The plant, which has an annual capacity to produce 1.75 mllion tonnes of cement will help in overall development of Himachal Pradesh. This plant is providing employment to over 500 people, besides generating indirect employment for a large number of persons.
