Jhunjhunwala hikes stake in Titan

Rakesh Jhunjhunwala and persons acting in concert with him have bought 50,000 shares of Titan Industries on April 12 via market purchase.

According to a release issued by Titan to the BSE on April 14, the shareholding of Rakesh Jhunjhunwala and PAC have moved up to 10.045% (44,59,127 shares).

The scrip closed at Rs 950 on the BSE on Friday, April 13. Going by the market price, the holding is worth nearly Rs 424 crore.

Titan Industries has an equity capital of Rs 44.389 crore split into 4.4389 crore shares, according to the shareholding pattern issued to the BSE for the quarter ended March 31, 2007.
