The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has booked Sanjay Bhatnagar, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of multi-national e-publishing company Jouve India, for possession of cocaine.
He was arrested after he took delivery of the narcotic drug from a courier service firm in Chennai. The parcel was sent from Bengaluru.
Bhatnagar was taken into custody on Tuesday afternoon for possession of cocaine, worth around Rs 20,000.
According to reports, the officials revealed that Bhatnagar has admitted that the drug was for his personal use. The 50-year-old CEO, who has been heading the company for some time, is said to have ordered the drug through a website.
NCB officials are working on cracking the network which sells the drugs online and said that many of these services are driven from overseas countries.
