K-G output less than capacity in absence of new users: RIL

Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) today said the KG-D6 field was operating at less than 70 per cent of the capacity, as the government was yet to notify additional customers.

“Current output (from KG-D6 fields) is around 45 million standard cubic metres per day (mscmd),” RIL head of oil and gas and Executive Director P M S Prasad told reporters here.

The output is lower than the field’s capacity of over 65 mscmd.
