Kohinoor Broadcasting Corporation, an entertainment company, posted 42.42 per cent rise in consolidated net profit at Rs 27.71 crore for the year ended March 31, 2009 as compared to Rs 19.45 crore in the previous year.
Total income of the company, however, declined to Rs 162.13 crore from Rs 167.45 crore.
Standalone net profit of the company stood significantly at Rs 15.34 crore in the financial year 2008-09 from a meagre Rs 1.10 crore in the previous year on a turnover of Rs 25.33 crore versus Rs 12.94 crore.
