Ma Foi in alliance with BBT Worldwide

Leading staffing and HR solutions provider Ma Foi Management Consultants Limited Ma Foi has entered into a strategic alliance with UK-headquartered BBT Worldwide to address specialized manpower requirements in the construction and retail sectors.
 
K Pandia Rajan, managing director, Ma Foi, said, "Through this alliance, we will offer a unique value proposition to companies in the construction and retail sectors by leveraging on BBT's global network of offices, for bringing in expatriate talent into India. The portfolio will include expatriate sales and marketing professionals. This JV also helps us move up the value chain, by enabling us to offer a global resourcing model for these sectors in India."
 
The Indian construction industry is expected to grow at 25-30 per cent over the next three years. This sector faces a huge challenge in terms of human resources as the demand-supply gap for quality civil engineers is widening rapidly. The demand has pushed salaries upward by 20-25 per cent across all levels, Ma Foi officials said.
 
Ma Foi's Staffing Solutions Group placed 13,199 people in permanent positions and 28,826 people in temporary positions during the year. The search business made 115 placements in 2007. Sixteen CEO/COO level placements were made in 2007, out of a total of 117 such positions. An agreement was also signed with Australian company e-bilities to enhance Ma Foi's capabilities in the personality testing domain.
 
Ma Foi plans to scale up operations in the year ahead. The consulting business plans to set up BPO operations as well as create an IT infrastructure business unit to provide network support and maintenance for global subsidiaries.
 
Ma Foi grossed revenues of Rs 432 crore for the January"�December 2007 period, marking 28 per cent growth over the previous year. Over the past year, Ma Foi has made geographic expansions in Hong Kong, China, Thailand and Houston.
 
The new Asian offices will focus on the banking, finance and insurance sectors. Ma Foi also plans to set up global search business operations and a global energy vertical in the US and Europe in 2008.
