Maheshwari Group's MPM Mall gets ISO certification

Group plans to construct two more malls at projected cost of Rs 100 crore

MPM Mall, owned by the Maheshwari Group, yesterday announced that it had received the ISO 9001:2000 certification for its shopping complex at Abids.
 
Addressing a press conference here, Raj Kumar Malpani, chairman and managing director of Maheshwari group, said: "This is the first shopping complex to get such certification in the country. We were working for this for the past six months. And the certification was completed this month."
 
Malpani also announced that the group was planning to construct two more malls "� one at Himayathnagar and the other at Ameerpet. The Himayathnagar mall, he said would be ready by next year.
 
Apart from shopping facilities and food courts, there would be a multiplex with three screens. The projected cost of the mall is Rs 25 crore.
 
The mall at Ameerpet would have a multiplex with four screens and the total cost of this project is Rs 75 crore. The company also plans residential and commercial complexes at Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills.
 
The company plans to open malls in Jaipur, Bangalore and then in other parts of the country.
 
Girish Malpani, the chief executive officer of the group, said that they were planning a shopping festival. He also announced the launch of MPM Cruiser, a model ship in the mall's lobby. "The ship has six outlets offering a range of products and a customer helpdesk," he said.
 
MPM is also coming out with a monthly newsletter, MPM Talk. The newsletter would have all the latest happenings at the mall, customer programmes and other features related to the mall.
