Mahindra tractor sales up 19% in June

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd's Farm Equipment Sector (FES) today said its tractor sales increased by 18.8% to 26,723 units in the domestic market in June.
The company had sold 22,493 units in June 2012.
Commenting on the monthly performance, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd Chief Executive, Tractor and Farm Mechanisation Rajesh Jejurikar said the domestic growth of 19% achieved during June 2013 is indicative of the positive momentum this year.
"The improved Kharif crop output prospect is expected to spur the rural economy further," he added.
