MEIL bags $3.62-million order from Bangladesh

Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Limited (MEIL) has bagged an order worth $3.62 million (approximately Rs 16.3 crore) from Jamuna Fertiliser Company Limited, a government organisation of the Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation. The lumpsum turnkey order is for supplying a natural gas booster compressor package to Jamuna.
“This first international order will be executed by the company’s hydrocarbon division and the work has to be completed within a year,” said P Doraiah, its director.
MEIL has also received seven orders from various sectors, with a gross value of Rs 253 crore. These include a Rs 25.3 -crore order from the ONGC West region, envisaging construction of 10 crude oil storage tanks at Mehasana and Ankaleswar in Gujarat, to be completed within 22 months.
It has bagged orders from the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation worth Rs 11.95 crore and a contract worth Rs 11.57 crore from APTransco, besides a work order from the Hinduja National Power Corporation Limited valued at Rs 50.13 crore, a release said.
