MphasiS acquires AIG's IT arm in India

MphasiS, a Bangalore-based software services exporter, has announced that it has reached a definitive agreement with to acquire AIG Systems Solutions (AIGSS), part of US-based American International Group Inc.

AIGSS is an India-based provider of information technology services and solutions to AIG companies worldwide. MphasiS had not disclosed the transaction details.

According to a statement from MphasiS, AIGSS has centres in Chennai and Kolkata and employs 800 people. MphasiS has added that this acquisition will help them enhance its offerings to the insurance industry.
