Naveen asks secretaries to draw 5 years action plan

The chief minister Naveen Patnaik has asked secretaries of all the departments to prepare a 5-year action plan on their respective departments in consultation with the concerned ministers. It will start from this year with priorities accorded to the most urgent ones.
The formulation of 5 year vision plan should be followed by annual plans. In the first all secretaries meet chaired by Patnaik, it was decided that all the secretaries, directors and chief engineers of government department will have take up field visit for assessing the ground situation. He directed the directors and chief engineers to visit the districts at least 10 days in a month. The chief secretary Ajit Kumar Tripathy said, secretaries, who are visiting districts, should not keep themselves busy at district headquarters. Instead they should visit the villages and redress the grievances of the people.
