Rooman Technologies forays into Mysore

| Bangalore-based Rooman Technologies, a pioneer in computer hardware, networking and security training, is foraying into Mysore with the opening of its 40th centre on October 12. |
| With a capacity to train some 600 personnel, it hopes to meet the needs of students in this Tier 2 city to provide quality training in 13 specialised courses it is offering. |
| Rooman Technologies has launched its centres in major locations at Bangalore, Mangalore, Hubli, Belgaum, Dharwad, Gadag and Gulbarga in Karnataka. |
| Belgaum centre has been receiving a good response with 400 trainees Belgaum is followed by Hubli 350 and Mangalore 250 students. |
| However, the response in Gulbarga has been poor, may be due to a lack of awareness, Rooman's network manager I G Samudri told Business Standard. |
| According to a survey by Ernst & Young, the number of hardware and networking professionals is set to rise from 2.4 lakh now to grow ten fold. ATM, mobile, landline and a host of other technology needed networking. Similarly, the security of network in areas like banking and internet was critical. Ethical hacking has assumed importance. Hence, job opportunities will grow tremendously. |
| Claiming Rooman as a world leader, he said that it has been consistently delivering training to corporate clienteles like Infosys and Wipro since its inception in 1999. It has trained around a lakh professionals, including about 30,000 at the higher end. |
| It had authorisation from over 10 IT gians like Comptia, Checkpoint, ISS, Prosoft, Microsoft, RED Hat, Symantec, Watchguard, Trend Micro and Ec-Council. |
| It has captured a major share of some 30-40 per cent of the training offered for international certifications and has set up branches in Canada, Colombo and Dar-es-Salaam, director Naganand added. |
