Sarovar, Sahil Spa in pact to run Lonavala resort

Sarovar Hotels, a multi-brand hotel management company, has entered into an alliance with Sahil Spa to manage their property at Lonavala. An agreement to this effect was signed on Tuesday.

"Under the deal, Sarovar will provide its management and marketing expertise for running Sahil's resort at Lonavala. The property will now be known as Sahil Sarovar Portico. The arrangement will remain valid for ten years," said Vinay Phadnis, chairman & managing director, Sahil Spa & Resorts.

Elaborating on the nature of the tie-up, he said, "It is a great opportunity to work with an established brand. This being a maiden foray of Sahil into resorts and spa business, we thought it fit to entrust the management of the facility to an expert. While Sahil will own the facility at Lonavala, Sarovar will manage the day-to-day operations of the resort."

The 23-room property, set up at an investment of Rs 6 crore, has a professionally-run spa with hydromatic bath tubs, advanced jacuzzi with stream jets designed to rejuvenate and relax, along with latest Ayurvedic treatments, massages and aromatherapy."
