Savvy Infra mulls replicating Kensville golf course

BS Reporter Mumbai/ Ahmedabad
Even as Ahmedabad dreams of teeing off with the likes of Tiger Woods and Michelle Wie at Kensville Golf Course & Country Club someday, city-based Savvy Infrastructures Ltd is exploring ways to replicate their project.

Once certified by PGA India, the state's first and only 18 hole PGA standard championship golf course will host international tournaments on its 7,350-yard long layout.

"We will be exploring more ways to replicate this project, either in Ahmedabad or anywhere outside Gujarat. It could be through a franchisee model, a joint venture or even our own undertaking. We are now confident that it is a viable and profitable business model given the growing golf culture in the state as well as country," said Sameer Sinha, director, Savvy Infrastructures Ltd.

Apart from the golf course, it will also feature a five-star hotel, convention centre, country club and residential properties.

To begin with, Savvy Infrastructures is organising an open golf tournament at the newly launched golf course on February 3.
