Shipping Corp posts Rs 6 cr loss in Q1

Shipping major Shipping Corporation of India posted a net loss of Rs 6 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2011 as compared to a net profit of Rs 191.5 crore in the corresponding period a year ago.

However, total Income has increased 3.2% from Rs 1,007 crore for June 2010 to Rs 1040.3 crore for June 2011.

The shares of the company closed down 0.27% at Rs 92 per share on the Bombay Stock Exchange.
