Shopper's Stop unit opens Hypercity Argos

Gateway Multichannel Retail, the subsidiary of retail major Shopper's Stop, has opened its first store Hypercity Argos at Thane.

The company also opened its department store at MGF Saket, New Delhi on December 13, 2007. With the opening of this store, the company has 23 Shopper's Stop stores under operation, it said in a release issued to the BSE today.

The company has also started 'Clinique,' a top cosmetic brand, opened for the first time in India through a stand-alone format.

Shopper's Stop has also started other brand stores under its operation. These stores are either shop-in-shop stores within the existing stores or as a separate stand-alone store at various locations.

These include three Homestop, Arcelia, Airport Retailing, 24 food and bevarage outlets, which include food courts, Clinique, Crossword and Mothercare.
