Suresh Vaswani to leave NTT Data in January

Suresh Vaswani, President of the combined entity of NTT Data and Dell Services, will leave the company end of January next year. Vaswani, a former co-CEO of Wipro, had earlier said that he would pursue other opportunities after completion of the Dell Services and NTT Data integration.

In a statement, NTT Data announced that its acquisition of Dell Services has been completed and the newly acquired business would be called NTT Data Services on an interim basis.

Dell's IT services business was acquired by Japanese firm NTT Data for $3.05 billion in May this year.

"I will remain in my current role to lead the business through the end of January 2017, to ensure a smooth transition through its current fiscal year." Vaswani said.

 

John McCain, chief executive of NTT DATA, will take charge of overall business. "We have extremely complementary portfolios and less than 10 per cent client overlap. Our clients and employees are very enthusiastic about the opportunities this acquisition creates," said McCain.

Vaswani took charge as President of Dell Services in 2012 and restructured the company's services to simplify and re-position the American hardware major's software services in the industry.He was instrumental in enhancing Dell's competency in business process as a service.
