Forty-eight-year-old Cyrus Mistry, son of construction magnate Pallonji Mistry, was not able to complete his five-year term as Chairman of the Tata Group. His father, incidentally, is the largest individual shareholder of Tata Sons, the holding company of the various enterprised constituting the group.

September 24, 1990-October 26, 2009: Serves as a Director of Tata Elxsi Ltd; was a Director of Tata Power Co. Ltd until September 18, 2006.
