Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Papers Ltd (TNPL) has posted a 6 per cent growth in net profit to Rs 27.38 crore in fourth quarter of 2007-08 from Rs 25.72 crore in the comparable quarter of 2006-07.

		</script> </DIV><p class='TableClas'>In the last quarter of previous fiscal company's total income increased by 12 per cent to Rs 261.74 crore as compared to Rs 233.40 crore. Total expenditure grew by 13 per cent to Rs 217.39 crore from Rs 192 crore.</P>
</p><p class='TableClas'>Company's Board Of Directors announced 25 per cent dividend for 2007-08.</P>
</p><p class='TableClas'>TNPL's profit after tax for 2007-08 increased to Rs 112.83 crore from Rs 86.06 crore in 2006-07, an increase of 31.11 per cent. Profit before tax increased to Rs 163.06 crore against Rs 125.03 crore, an increase of 30 per cent.</P>
</p><p class='TableClas'>Total income during the year increased by 12 per cent to Rs 959.56 crore from Rs 850 crore in 2006-07.</P></p><p class='TableClas'></p></table>
