Tumble Tots to launch 75 franchisees in India

Tumble Tots, Britain's physical play programme for children, expects to expand its presence in India through the franchisee route.
 
The parent company, Tot Development India Pvt Ltd, plans to launch 75 Tumble Tots franchisees across the country every year for the next five years. Initially, the company will focus on the south.
 
Addressing a press conference Shankar Santhiram, managing director, Tumble Tots India, said the cost of each franchisee would be Rs 2.5 lakh, including the rental for 1,000 sq ft of space and Rs 5 lakh for equipment customised by Tumble Tots.
 
Santhiram said that for the franchisee to reach the break-even point, they will have to induct 85 students for a fee of Rs 1,000 a month.
 
Classes would be conducted once a week for 45 minutes, where children will be taught elementary concepts of climbing and jumping, depending on the age.
