TVS Motor domestic 2-wheeler sales continues to drop

Two wheeler exports registered a growth of 21% with sales growing from 17,169 units in Dec 2012 to 20,694 units in Dec 2013

TVS Motor Company has reported a 7% increase in two-wheeler during the month of December. The growth was mainly due to export numbers, which reported a positive growth, while domestic sales continues to report negative growth.

Domestic two wheeler sales accounted for 132,664 units in December 2013 as against 134,566 units registered in the month of December 2012.

Two wheeler exports registered a growth of 21% with sales growing from 17,169 units in December 2012 to 20,694 units in December 2013.

Total two wheeler sales increased to 153,358 units in December 2013 from 151,735 units in December 2012.

Scooters sales grew by 38% to 41,817 units in December 2013 from 30,398 units in December 2012. Motorcycles sales for the month of December 2013 stood at 57,576 units as against 60,210 units in December 2012.
 

Company's total exports grew by 27% to 25,797 units in December 2013 from 20,251 units in December 2012.

Three wheeler sales of the company registered an increase of 37%, growing from 4,486 units in December 2012 to 6,137 units in December 2013.
