Banking upon its newly-launched 'Jupiter', TVS Motor said the new offering would take its share in the scooter segment from the existing 15 per cent to 20 per cent in this fiscal.
The company expects the launch to push its pan-India scooter sales from the current 32,000 units every month to 50,000 during this fiscal. The segment was recording a CAGR of 12 per cent, it said.
TVS claims the Jupiter 109 cc equipped with CVTi engine comes up with exclusive features including greater mileage of 62 kmpl, facility to charge gadgets and an external fuel fill. It is priced at Rs 48,400 (ex-showroom Hyderabad).
