Australia-based Village Roadshow has sold its 40 per cent stake in PVR Ltd to its Indian partner, Ajay Bijli. PVR will now be 100 per cent owned by Bijli.
Bijli said he does not want to rope in another partner for the cineplex business. As per the agreement, the multiplexes will retain the PVR Cinema brand name since the brand is owned by the Indian company.
