Wyeth Q3 net down 24% to Rs 17.54 cr

Pharmaceutical firm Wyeth reported a 24.26 per cent decline in net profit at Rs 17.54 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2007 as compared to Rs 23.16 crore during the same quarter a year-ago.

However, the total income increased 18.25 per cent to Rs 87.91 crore for the third quarter this fiscal from Rs 74.34 crore last year.

Vivimed Labs net up 46% to Rs 4.78 cr

Vivimed Labs, engaged in the manufacture of specialty chemicals, personal care and cosmetics, reported a growth of 46.17 per cent in its net profit at Rs 4.78 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2007, as compared with Rs 3.27 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, on the back of significant sales from the anti-dandruff ingredient ZPTO launched during the quarter.

Dish TV net loss at Rs 116.40 crore

With sharp increase in the cost of goods and services and advertising expenses, country's largest direct-to-home service provider, Dish TV India, an Essel Group company, reported a net loss of Rs 116.4 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2007. Its total revenue for the quarter stood at Rs 112.5 crore up 48 per cent from the previous quarter.
