Six facilities of the Himachal Pradesh forest department have been given on rent via public-private partnership (PPP) to function as eco-tourism sites, under the revised policy.
In a written reply to the Assembly on Thursday, Forest Minister Thakur Singh Bharmouri said these projects were given to five entrepreneurs. The projects include the Ala forest rest house in the resort town of Dalhousie (given to Taragan Developers); the Barog camping site (Naina Devi Trust); the Chewa site near Barog (Pine Hill Eco Camp); Moti Kuna Hill at Sanawar near Kasauli (Vishal Verma); the Shoghi Camping site near Shimla (Tarangan Developers) and the Potter's Hill eco-tourism site in Shimla (Ajit Butail).
