SC asks Modi govt to answer questions on note ban

The Supreme Court on Friday sought a response from the Centre on issues related to demonetisation, such as whether or not district cooperative banks can be allowed to accept deposits with certain conditions and could there be a minimum assured weekly withdrawal from banks.


Mistry seeks Tata Motors, Tata Chemicals shareholders' support

Former Tata Sons chairman Cyrus Mistry wrote to the shareholders of Tata Motors and Tata Chemicals to seek their support against the special notice to remove him as director from the boards of both companies.
