Cyclone Hud Hud is expected to make a landfall on the north Andhra coast by early morning on Sunday, while causing less impact on the southern Odisha in terms of rain and wind speed.
"There are chances that it might cross the seacoast even in Srikakulam," Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary I Y R Krishna Rao told Business Standard.
He said there was no threat of Hud Hud becoming a super cyclone, though the administration is fully geared to face any eventuality. The cyclone is being tracked by Visakhaptanam Doppler Weather Radar since Saturday morning.
Eastern and Southern Railways have cancelled several trains and diverted some, as the cyclone may cause damage to railway network.
